Supporting KS2 to KS4
KS2
KS2 support involves helping to develop student's literacy skills while they are in Junior school. There are no specific texts looked at but skills focused on include:
*spelling
*grammar
*punctuation
*comprehension
*creative writing

KS3
During years 7 - 9 at secondary school, students will significantly develop their literacy skills, preparing them for their GCSE studies. They will study a range of texts and literary genres, including classic plays and modern novels.
KS4
During years 10-11, students will study a range of texts and poems for their literature exam in addition to developing their comprehension analysis and creative writing skills for the language exam. Each school selects from a list of possible texts offered by the exam board. Over the years I have supported students studying:
*Romeo and Juliet
*Macbeth
*An Inspector Calls
*Jekyll and Hyde
*Of Mice and Men
*Journey's End
*Animal Farm
*A Christmas Carol
*various poetry anthologies for both AQA and Pearson Edexcel exam boards.
